Flying FUKs, Mystery Boxes, and a Mini Bedlam Giveaway

Markets are crashing, pollen’s weaponized, and EDC is thriving. Oh, and a Mini Bedlam giveaway...

In partnership with

April’s been absolutely feral—markets crashing, weather swinging like a mall ninja’s fantasy sword, and a pollen cloud thick enough to choke a moose. But at least in the EDC world, things still make sense: denim micarta is hot, FUKs are flying, and someone’s walking away with a Mini Bedlam just for reading this.

Oh, and Carry Commission became a Knafs dealer—because, of course, we did.

Let’s do the damn thing!

Upcoming at BDEDC

Win a Benchmade Mini Bedlam

If you’re reading this, you’re probably already entered to win a Mini Bedlam, courtesy of Benchmade. All you have to do is be signed up for this very newsletter and you could win. We won’t complain if you also give us a follow over on Instagram at @edc.weekly, though.

We will be drawing a winner for this giveaway in the April 25 issue. On that same day, I will be going live on Whatnot, so mark your calendars. I will have some really sweet and rare finds for sale, as well as a Chris Reeve Small Sebenza 31 to give away as a buyer’s appreciation at the end of the show.

Carry Commission is now a Knafs dealer

As of yesterday, Carry Commission is officially a Knafs dealer. Sure, we had some Carry Commission exclusive versions of some Landers, but now we’ve got lube, burritos, torx drivers, and more.

Carry of the Week

This is my Monday EDC with a crocodile leather passport wallet from Indonesia (54 years old) from my Grandfather. On top, I have my favorite Böker Urban Trapper Tanto with leather cord and ultem bead. Next to it is a classic ReyLight Pineapple Mini (Timascus button with tritium glow insert) and Big Idea Design Bolt action Pen (Timascus bolt). Also in the photo is a matching strap of my IWC Portugieser automatic watch. Thank you.

Name

Work Sharp has a new Instagram account, @worksharpknives. As the name alludes, they’ve also got something new to show—a knife called the RMX. Some keen eyes might remember this knife that made some brief appearances around the internet. All I can say is, it’s very cool and it has a really neat trick up its sleeve. The RMX is still a few months out, but I have a feeling I’ll have more to share soon.

The Lehigh Valley Knife Show returns to the Charles Chrin Community Center in Easton, PA, April 12-13. Explore everything from antiques to custom blades, Bowies to Balisongs, plus sharpeners, books, and more. Admission is just $10, free for kids under 13 and uniformed Scouts. Some names in attendance that you may be familiar with are: OEG EDC, Spectrum Energetics, SharpByDesign, Urban Cutlery, etc.

Vero Engineering is dropping Timascus and Zirc Upgrade Mystery Blem Boxes for the Synapse, Impulse, Axon, and Neuron. For $98, you get four mystery items, including knife accessories and/or Vero swag in your choice of material for your specific knife model. The boxes drop today at 11 AM EDT, and I would act fast. These typically disappear very quickly.
