Frontier Fixed Blades, Medieval Folders, and Shovels That Chop
Because your gear should work as hard as you do.

Bowie season, anyone? April may not get the spotlight like Blade Show months, but it carries a sharp piece of history. In the early 1830s, James Black forged the first Bowie knife in Arkansas—planting the seed for one of the most iconic blades in American history. Fast forward to April 14, 1865, and a Bowie-style knife made headlines again during the failed assassination of Secretary of State William Seward.
Albeit less legendary and bloody, the legacy of the frontier lives on today through our restock of the Frontier First, all-titanium shovels that chop, fixed blades with tweezers in the handle, and more. Form and function never go out of style.
Let’s do the damn thing!
Carry Commission Drop

We had one of our biggest drops on Carry Commission since we started back in 2022. We restocked the ever-popular LTWK Frontier First, this time with a leather pocket sheath included.

We also brought Brautigam Expedition Works (BEW) into the fold. If you’re not familiar with BEW, you’re seriously missing out. Pete Brautigam makes exceptional titanium gear, right here in the USA. His Titanium Pack Shovel is one of the most badass things I own. We dropped some of those in both Straight and T-Handles, as well as Long Sporks, Stubby Sporks, and Tiny Titanium Tweezers.
We are also now officially a dealer for UltiClip.
While all the Titanium Pack Shovels and Frontier Firsts are long gone, all the other titanium goodies are still in stock. Sign up for our email list if you don’t want to be late to future drops.

Carry of the Week

Everything should be self explanatory with a few exceptions. I’ve had the Contour since launch, when it was called the Unholy Contour and it was expensive enough for me not to hunt for another wallet.
The pill container is necessary for my back and holds a good amount. It also has two separate compartments for multiple meds.
I like the smaller Nalgene at times since it’s so easy to carry. Most places have water refill spots and it fits in cup holders.
I stopped looking for new things and ideas a while ago, still watch the old (MOD) episodes though. I’d love to see you release all the old episodes at some point as I play them in the background at work.

Earlier this week, Kizer dropped two new knife models—the Drop Bear Fixed Blade and the Parakeet. It also announced the launch of a Kickstarter campaign for the Drop Bear Utility. The Drop Bear Fixed Blade comes in three different blade shapes: Drop Point, Clip Point, and Sheepsfoot. And both new Drop Bear variants sport tweezers and a toothpick nested in the handles. |
Knives by Nuge is constantly bringing the heat on Fridays—this time with textured micarta Wickets and Wicket XLs, both with Scandi grinds and leather pocket sheaths. After a long hiatus, he’s also bringing back the PSK, or Personal Survival Knife, which was designed to fit inside an Altoids survival tin. It ships with a very minimal kydex sheath. As usual, they’ll be landing on knivesbynuge.com, but as for when, you’ll need to sign up for the email list. |
Holme & Hadfield is dropping The Winder on April 11. It’s a sleek, mid-century modern–inspired watch winder built into their patented wooden display case in either walnut or black. Limited to just 300 units, this release blends function and form for collectors who care about aesthetics as much as they do keeping their watches wound and ready. If you want one, sign up for the waitlist now to secure your spot before they’re gone for good. |
