Hinderer Giveaway, Custom Clingmans & March’s Final Drops

We're giving away a Hinderer XM-18 and selling special Clingmans–plus drops from Tactile, Urban EDC, Arcane Design, and more...

In partnership with

Knife makers seem to be embracing spring cleaning—just not in the traditional sense. This week brought a flurry of fresh drops, surprise restocks, and seasonal one-offs across the EDC world. From titanium slipjoints with retro vibes to medieval-inspired MagnaCut folders, the final days of March are stacked.

We’re joining the fun with a Whatnot stream today featuring hardware-swapped Clingmans, a table full of gear, and a blue Hinderer XM-18 up for grabs.

Let’s do the damn thing!

Upcoming at BDEDC

We will be going live on Whatnot today at 4 PM EDT. We’ll have all sorts of goodies for sale and a handful of giveaways, including a blue scale Hindered XM-18 that will be a buyer’s appreciation giveaway at the end of the stream.

The main course in this stream will be hardware-swapped Civivi Clingmans. We bought a whole bunch of them and swapped the micarta models to the black blade and hardware, and the G-10 scales to the satin blades. This is the only place you can buy a Clingman like this without having to buy two and swap them yourself. (Although I have to disclose that these will not come with a warranty.)

See you guys then!

Carry of the Week

I love Titanium and the Vice Anvil Croc tool was one of the first Ti gear I've ever owned. The Olight is an upgrade from the i1R 2 Pro on my keys. The Nottingham Tactical pen is the most recent pen I've purchased and it's the first non bolt action pen I own but I've been loving it since I got in September 2024.

The knife is my first ever knife purchase and it's from Blade Show Texas. The Keybar is special as it's stone carved customized by MLJ Bladeworx. The Keybar also has a Keanison Knife insert and I plan on putting my keys in as well. I can't decide between loving the Frag Pattern or the Stone Carved pattern.

If there's anyone that can Timascus the knife scales or just the knife and pen clips that would be awesome.

Tactile Knife Co. and Tactile Turn are closing out March with two standout releases. First, the Groove Bexar, a glossy black Cerakote slipjoint with retro accents and record-inspired milling to match the last week of the seasonal Groove Side Click pen drop—available only until March 31. Second, a fresh Archer Inlay drop pairs vintage '70s micarta with ridged, darkwash titanium scales and a matte MagnaCut blade. Both drops are extremely limited and won’t be restocked.

Blade HQ is celebrating 22 years with an Anniversary Sale featuring hundreds of discounted knives and giveaways all week. Every order comes with a free “Knives on Board” patch, and orders over $195 score a free Morakniv Basic 546—while supplies last. Whether you’re restocking or grabbing a grail, now’s the time to save big and snag some bonus gear in the process.

Urban EDC just announced the Castellan, a titanium framelock collaboration with John Demko, available for preorder all April. Inspired by medieval architecture, it comes in dragon scale or rock sculpted titanium scales, with a 2.87" (72.9 mm) MagnaCut blade, flipper tab, and a reversible deep-carry clip. A deep bronze anodized version will be exclusive to the preorder. Retail is $299, preorder price is $269, with delivery expected in August 2025.
