The Best Gear from Blade Show 2025 (According to You)
You Spotted Better Gear Than I Did

Blade Show’s over. The dust has settled. The hype is dying down. But that’s when the real processing starts, and we can figure out what actually stood out.
In this week’s episode of Deep Cuts, I break down your favorite finds from Blade Show 2025, highlight some gear I missed (and some I didn’t), and share my top picks from the weekend. We’ve also got another killer Community Carry, a question about modular multi-tools, and a fresh giveaway winner. Plus: What’s in my pockets post-Blade, and a few brands I think are worth watching right now.
Let’s do the damn thing.

Everything I Got At Blade Show 2025
We hit Blade Show 2025 without a camera but came home with a table full of gear. Knives, tools, prototypes, and a few things I didn’t expect to like as much as I do. This is everything I picked up, plus one thing that I never expected.

We want to take a moment to thank the brands who make everything we do possible:
Carry of the Week
I feel like I have always had a tough time narrowing in on my perfect carry. I’m always switching knives, flashlights, multitools, watches but I feel like I’m getting so close. I have determined that the power pint will always end up back in my pocket over all the leathermans I’ve tried. The AD 20.5 has turned out to be everything I’ve been looking for, I think at this point the only thing I can replace it is a AD 20S. The flashlight could use some improving but it’s kind of at a spot where it’s good enough. Everything else is a staple and won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.
I’m considering adding a slip joint to my carry every once in a while just to spice things up. I’m looking for something under $150. I would love an ABW slip joint but those are a little hard to come by!

Just One Question
User @BBene7 over on YouTube asked:

You mentioned the new “hot swap” feature that Exceed Designs is doing for his knives, maybe I haven’t come across it yet but why doesn’t something like that exist for a multi tool? I think a modular pick your own tools multi tool with the ability to swap out tools would be awesome. #noknifetoosmall
In short, they do exist. There are two companies that make hot-swappable multitools that rival Leatherman…sort of. For my full answer, be sure to check out the Deep Cuts episode this week.
