Turns Out I Was Dead Wrong About This EDC Gear
A flashlight I didn’t expect to like, two questionable knife choices, and a carry that makes my pockets jealous

Sometimes it’s a flashlight with too many buttons. Sometimes it’s a knife that looks like a gas station special. And sometimes… I’m just flat-out wrong. From being ashamed of a $15 beater knife to a flashlight I initially tossed in a drawer—but now won’t leave my bag—this episode of Deep Cuts has it all.

This week on Deep Cuts, I get hands-on with the overbuilt-but-somehow-awesome Loop Gear SK05 Pro, roast some brutally honest EDC confessions, and highlight a blacked-out bougie carry. I also show you what’s in my pockets.
My EDC Tool Kit Update
Over the years, my tool kits have changed quite a bit, especially the one I keep handy inside my backpack. A few months ago, I made an updated EDC backpack video and promised we would deep dive into the tool kit. That’s exactly what we did earlier this week.
Carry Commission Drops
This week at Carry Commission, we officially became one of the very few dealers for absolute wizards over in Germany at UG Tools. Their knives feature one-of-a-kind 3D-printed titanium handles and ridiculously tough MagnaCut steel blades featuring an impressive 65HRC.
It’s damn near impossible to find a tougher knife than a UG Tools knife, but we have them in stock at Carry Commission right now. We are also carrying their 3DTi Forks and the RevoluTion, an impressively lightweight and slicey chef knife.

Carry of the Week
This is my attempt at a bougie blackout carry (minus the watch of course). The watch was handed down from my dad. The knife was one that I wanted to try for a while. The tactile turn in Zirc is cool because well Zirc. The DC0 was bought directly from Jeff and it is the nicest flashlight I have ever owned. The GTFO was made special for me by Brian of PNW and is a super cool item to fidget with.
